62A District Court

The 62A District Court is a court of limited jurisdiction. As such, it has the authority to rule on cases involving traffic and criminal matter such as: Criminal Misdemeanors, Municipal Civil Infractions, Parking Violations, Traffic Civil Infractions, and Traffic Misdemeanors. The court has two judges and one magistrate.

62B District Court

The 62B District Court has one judge and one magistrate. The court has jurisdiction over all misdemeanors committed in the City of Kentwood by anyone 17 years of age and older. The 62-B District Court has jurisdiction to conduct a preliminary examination to establish probably cause that a felony was committed and probable cause to believe that the defendant committed the felony over all felonies committed by anyone 17 years of age or older.

63rd District Court

As of November 16th, 2009, the 63-1st District Court and the 63-2nd District combined into the 63rd District Court. The 63rd District Court is one of seven District Courts in Kent County. The court has two judges and three magistrates.
